JR is a cultivar of unconfirmed origins thought to have originated in Northern California as a combination of LA Confidential and Blue Dream. Other sources believe it to be a direct descendent of Hindu Kush.

The top reported aromas of the JR strain are wood, earth, and lemon. It is said to taste of pine and citrus.
