Two strains with very different lineages fall under the Jamaican Dream name, though both are heady sativa-dominant hybrids. The first version was bred by Eva Seeds in Spain, backcrossing an unknown landrace strain from Jamaica. Eva Seeds has nabbed a long list of awards for this incredible Jamaican riff, including awards at the Canarias Cannabis Cup, Slovakia Cannabis Cup, Bella Flor Arseca Cup, and Copa Esmeralda. Jamaican Dream often wins in an extraction category, suggesting this is a superior resin-producing strain. Eva says this is a mildly sweet strain with profoundly energetic qualities, making it perfect for daytime use.

A second version of Jamaican Dream is a Blueberry and Haze cross from Greenfield Seeds in Austria. According to the cannabis lore, this may be the little sister to the legendary Blue Dream strain. Users say this version is extremely fast-acting, happy, and energetic. The Jamaican Dream strain has elevated levels of caryophyllene, myrcene, and limonene terpenes, giving the flowers a delectable lime and berry scent with a sweet fruit candy flavor profile. The buds of this strain are usually large and colorful with a looser structure, marking its strong sativa heritage.

Jamaican Dream is a sativa strain directly descended from a Jamaican landrace sativa. It develops in indoor and outdoor gardens, preferring semi-humid climates when raised in the sunny outdoors. Tall-growing plants, Jamaican Dream requires regular pruning and some structural support for its thin branches and dense buds.

The strain was selected for shorter flowering times, reaching full maturity in seven to eight weeks indoors or late September outdoors. Jamaican Dream produces up to 16 ounces of bud per plant in ideal conditions.
