Golden Calyx

Golden Calyx is an appealing enough name that it describes multiple strains, though both make use of a Golden Goat mother plant and tend to express primarily sativa characteristics.

Origin 1: Sativa-leaning hybrid (Dumbo Electric)

The more recent variety of Golden Calyx is a cross of Platinum Calyx and Golden Goat developed by Dumbo Electric. Said to have a fruity and floral aroma, Dumbo’s Golden Calyx is reportedly an uplifting and energizing strain that gradually moves from a social to more pure mental and physical relaxation. Buds of their Golden Calyx have a strong reputation for trichome production, with an almost comically thick layer of crust underneath bright, oversized orange pistils.

Origin 2: Sativa-dominant hybrid (Calyx Garden)

Bred from a cross of Grape Calyx and Golden Goat, Calyx Garden selected their Golden Calyx variety specifically to maximize the legacy of its parent aromas. The result is reportedly a bright, tropical, and fruity palate, with an energizing and creative high suitable for most situations. True to the name, buds have a warm golden aura, with pale trichomes and orange pistils evenly distributed over light green foliage.
