Frostbite puts the frost on thick, but the name covers more than one family tree. Some jars lean earthy and tea-spiced; others bring chocolate, hash, pine, and vanilla into the cold front. Check the breeder before picking a side in the indica-or-sativa debate. With this name, both answers can have roots.

Origin 1: Greenpoint Seeds. This Frostbite crosses 3rd Coast Genetics’ Black Ice with Animal Cookies. Its Black Ice parent comes from MAC × Oreoz, making the specific family tree worth checking. Greenpoint lists its Frostbite as 70% indica and 30% sativa.

Origin 2: Baked Beanz. This separate hybrid pairs a backcross of Original Glue (GG4) with GG4 × Mendo Breath F2. Glue appears on both sides of the pedigree, but that doesn’t make this the same Frostbite as Greenpoint’s Cookies cross.

Origin 3: Legacy sativa profile. Frostbite also circulates as a mostly sativa cultivar with earthy, spicy, tea-like aromatics and an unresolved pedigree. That familiar profile should stay separate from the two named breeder releases.

The legacy version brings warm spice, earth, and tea to a decidedly chilly name. Greenpoint’s line takes a richer turn, layering chocolate and hash with pine, tart notes, and vanilla. Baked Beanz’s flavor profile isn’t established well enough to borrow either description. Same name, different jars.

Heavy trichome coverage gives the legacy flowers their snow-dusted look. Greenpoint describes similarly frosty buds against deep green and purple foliage, with resin taking center stage. Baked Beanz’s listing leaves flower appearance unspecified, so purple coloring isn’t a promise across the name.

Pass it around and the circle tends to report an uplifted, focused, talkative experience from the legacy sativa version, with creative energy and some physical ease. The head gets a little room to roam while the conversation keeps moving. Those reports belong to that version; neither breeder cross comes with enough distinct feedback to promise the same ride.

Start with the breeder’s name before starting the calendar. Greenpoint’s feminized Frostbite flowers in 58–70 days and suits indoor, outdoor, or greenhouse cultivation. Its listing describes medium-to-tall plants and substantial yield potential, but gives mixed difficulty signals: the prose calls it approachable while the specifications rate it advanced.

Baked Beanz’s regular-seed line takes approximately 65 days to flower and can grow indoors or outdoors. Its listing doesn’t establish yield or finished height. The legacy sativa profile is described as taller-growing, with an indoor flowering window of eight to nine weeks. Similar finish times don’t make these plants interchangeable; keep each line’s grow notes with its own genetics.
