Espresso takes its coffee black and its citrus with the peel on. Pacific NW Roots crossed Ghost Train Haze, listed in the breeder’s description as OG Ghost Train Haze, with Koffee to create this sativa-dominant hybrid. The name earns its place through reported coffee flavor, but there’s more in the grinder than dark roast.

Coffee and hash meet sour citrus and spice, with earthy herbs and a light floral edge in the aroma. Some smokers describe chocolate and a creamy finish, adding a softer layer to the sharper flavors. Think espresso with a twist of lemon peel, then remember there’s still a bowl to clear. Described flowers are broad and mint green, tucked into darker olive leaves with fine orange hairs and a milky coat of trichomes.

Community reviews tend to describe an uplifting, energizing buzz, while strain accounts add focus, giddy mood elevation, and a light body tingle. That gives Espresso a daytime reputation, especially among people who enjoy a more animated session. Conversation, music, or a creative detour fit the mood. Whether that inspiration survives contact with your to-do list is another matter.

Espresso has some reach. Pacific NW Roots describes tall plants with a flowering window of nine to ten weeks, making vertical space an important part of the plan. The original line was released as regular seed rather than feminized seed, and it can be cultivated indoors or outdoors.

Indoors, early canopy training and room for stretch are sensible approaches to its stated stature. Branch support may become useful as flowers develop. Those are general growing considerations, not a documented Espresso-specific training recipe.
