Double Dare

Double Dare is the name of at least two hybrid strains, each with its own bespoke lineage. Not to be confused with the Double Dog Dare strain from Strain Reign (distinguishable thanks to its darker foliage), both Double Dare strains are known for their gently sativa-leaning effects and relatively pale appearances.

Origin 1: Sativa-leaning hybrid (Fire Bros.)

Bred by Fire Bros. from a cross of their own Danny DeWeedo and Pineapple Pancakes strains, the first variety of Double Dare has tremendous bag appeal, with a thick layer of trichomes and fuzzy, prominent orange pistils. Reportedly tasting of creamy, tropical fruit, this Double Dare is high-potency despite its relatively balanced effects — most fans describe a heavy initial high that settles into a sense of cozy physical relaxation and alert mental stimulation.

Origin 2: Sativa-leaning hybrid (Unknown Breeder)

The second type of Double Dare isn’t typically associated with any particular first breeder, but it is beloved for its well-rounded characteristics and accessible smoking experience. More moderate potency than the Fire Bros. variety, this Double Dare is said to be a cross of Double Dream and Golden Goat. Relaxed and uplifting, reviews suggest a much less heavy onset and more durable features for all-day smoking.
