Don Shula has long been part of cannabis lore. In 2016, a Don Shula submission produced by Dank by Pank took home third place for Best Hybrid Flower at the Colorado Cannabis Cup. This mostly indica strain is a cross of The White and Diagonal (Diagonal being a cross of True OG x East Coast Sour Diesel). But who is Don Shula? The namesake of this hard-hitting hybrid was a legendary NFL defensive back and (eventually) the long-standing coach for the Miami Dolphins, who just so happened to stack up six Super Bowls on his record. According to reviews, the diesel genetics shine through this strain, with major gas hits and pumped-up citrusy aromas. Underneath those smells are often notes of pungent pine. You'll find limonene, myrcene, and caryophyllene as the predominant terpenes. Most people find Don Shula to be more of an energizing than a sedating hybrid, and it's been called a daytime strain more than once.
