Deep Space
Deep Space is not to be confused with Deep Space 91, which most sources believe is the result of a distinct hybrid with Chem Dog 91. Newer phenotypes (like Deep Space #6) and enduring confusion over these strains means it may be important to do a little extra research if you need to verify origins.
Origin 1: Indica-dominant hybrid (Clearwater Genetics)
The more recent and widespread variety of Deep Space is a potent indica-hybrid bred by Clearwater Genetics from a cross of Oreoz and Zero Gravity. Known for its pungent chemical aroma, Clearwater’s Deep Space is also beloved for its subtle notes of earthy spice and lightly funky fruit. Buds tend to be long and heavily tinged with purple, sporting relatively leafy foliage under an even layer of trichomes.
Origin 2: Indica-dominant hybrid (Kingdom Organic Seeds)
Bred from a cross of Romulan and Deep Chunk, the second Deep Space variety is another heavyweight indica-dominant hybrid that shares many of the same features. This type has similarly gorgeous, purple and trichome buds, though they have a more compact structure and significantly more pronounced pistils. While the effects are said to be the same, Kingdom’s Deep Space reportedly has an even more distinct diesel and ammonia aroma.
