Bubblegun
Popularized and refined by the Amsterdam-based breeder Spliff Seeds, Bubblegun has Mexican Sativa, Columbian Gold, and Afghani indica genetics, and was crossed with AK in an attempt to improve bud structure and increase yields. Bubblegun originated in Indiana, but was genetically improved after making its way to the Netherlands.
As its name suggests, Bubblegun is said to deliver an explosive bubblegum flavor, coupled with a fruity aroma.
After having its own Bubblegun strain analyzed, Spliff Seeds found that the sample had just more than 16% THC, a mild amount that the breeder claims leads to an immediate and long-lasting headbuzz.
Reported as a vigorous grower during the vegetative and flowering stages, Spliff Seeds recommends this sativa-leaning strain for experienced growers, as it requires constant trimming and a watchful eye. To limit growth, the breeder suggests guilting or replanting, which will reduce size but lead to a more bushy plant.
Bubblegun is best suited for indoor and outdoor grows, yielding copious amounts of dense, sticky flowers that are light green and highly resinous over an eight to nine week flowering cycle.
