Arctic Sun is a sativa-dominant hybrid with a frosty coat and an unmistakably old-school stink. The Flying Dutchmen crossed White Widow with Eddie’s Skunk, a selection from the Skunk #1 family. That pairing puts two foundational Dutch lines in the same jar, bringing Widow resin together with the pungency that made Skunk a household name.

Fuel and skunky funk lead the nose, with floral sweetness softening the sharper edges. Some plants lean sweet and nutty, while others carry a danker, more recognizable Widow character. Long, resin-covered flowers give the name its frosty credibility. Arctic Sun has the sparkle, but the aroma makes the louder entrance.

Smokers can expect a mix of cerebral lift and physical relaxation, with some expressions leaning brighter and others settling more firmly into the body. The appeal is that overlap: an engaged headspace with enough physical ease to take the hurry out of the session. Individual plants can differ noticeably in strength, so the name alone doesn’t promise the same ride from every jar.

The original Flying Dutchmen release came as regular photoperiod seeds for indoor and outdoor cultivation. Indoor flowering runs approximately 8–10 weeks, with October listed as the outdoor harvest window.

Plants can grow tall and develop substantial flowers that need support. Grower observations include both large, rounded calyxes and looser flower structures, alongside differences in aroma and potency. The breeder characterizes yields as high without providing a numerical estimate.
