3 Bears OG puts watermelon sweetness through a mouthful of sour OG funk. The fruit is unmistakable, but there’s nothing delicate about the smell. Earth, sharp lemon, and pungent gas give it some dirt under the nails. On the pull, that sweetness gives way to a tart, herbal bite.
Mephisto Genetics started the project with a personal cut from Karma Genetics, passed along during a visit in 2013. That selection was called Karma’s OG, later Bear OG. Mephisto ran seeds alongside the cut to see what else the line offered. Karma’s selection stayed the favorite and became the parent paired with Triangle F3, Mephisto’s autoflowering line with Triangle Kush ancestry.
That distinction matters: Bear OG and Karma’s OG name the same parent here. This was a two-parent pairing, despite descriptions that count them separately.
The flower has real heft. Dense green nugs carry orange hairs and a white trichome coat, while sugar leaves can turn deep purple or nearly black. Those dark edges make the resin stand out without hiding the bud underneath.
Menu regulars describe a happy, mellow head change with a tingly body stone and a persistent case of the munchies. As the session settles, so does the smoker. Sleepy finishes come up often. Keep something better than a half-empty bag of chips around.
3 Bears OG is a stocky feminized autoflower, typically reaching 50–80 centimeters and finishing in 65–75 days from sprout. Thick secondary colas give the compact plant much of its flower weight. Its aroma and frost may be understated early, then become pronounced later in the cycle. Mephisto lists typical yields of 70–90 grams per plant.
