Raw cannabis, like anything else, is a plant in its natural, unadulterated form. Specific to cannabis, raw means plant material that may have been harvested but not dried, cured, heated, or processed in any way.

More about raw cannabis

Raw cannabis is said to contain a whole host of beneficial nutrients, including proteins, fatty acids, minerals, and essential vitamins. Some sources even call cannabis a superfood, leading aficionados to add leaves and flower (again, uncured and undried) to salads, smoothies, and juices. Before it's heated, cannabis contains cannabinoid acids, which are the precursors to the cannabinoids most people are interested in when they consume cannabis. The THC, CBD, and other cannabinoids aren't present in raw cannabis, so consuming it won't lead to the high THC causes or the relaxation many equate with CBD consumption.
