Holistic Healing is the leading practice for medical marijuana evaluations in the Connecticut!
Holistic Healing has proven to be a confidential, compassionate environment where patients are comfortable discussing their conditions, and encouraged to ask the questions. Is pot safe to use? Is it legal? Will my information be kept private?
Founder, Dr. Corey Jaquez is a pioneer when it comes to Connecticut’s medical cannabis program. Not only was Dr. Jaquez one of the first physicians to register with the state in 2012, one of his patients was also among the first approved for medical marijuana in CT! Legendary stuff! Dr. Corey Jaquez is a nationally board certified physician, trained in Family Medicine. During residency in Louisville, he forged his way and discovered his passion for Preventative Medicine and refined his holistic approach to treating patients with debilitating medical conditions. He has become the leading doctor for evaluating cannabis patients in CT.
Dr. Jaquez has demonstrated his passion for alternative medicine and remains sympathetic towards those with conditions he feels should be on the list. He has seen first hand how patients have benefited from the marijuana program, are able to get their lives back on track, and decrease the amount of medication required to manage their symptoms.
Dr Jaquez was featured on CT Fox 61 News in a spotlight “Medical Marijuana Requests on the Rise” in 2014 shortly after medical marijuana prescriptions were made available in Connecticut. Then, spoke candidly of the trials and tribulations of the medical cannabis industry. No doubt, it has come a long way since inception in 2012; with only 12 qualifying conditions back then. The cannabis industry has evolved to include 22 debilitating conditions as of 2018, and the addition of minors. But, there is still room for improvement. Dr. Corey Jaquez knows it’s imperative to keep up with news on growers, dispensaries and patient conditions. He is hopeful that soon, chronic pain and mental health conditions, such as anxiety, depression, and insomnia will become qualifying diagnoses. As it stands, you can be certified for medical marijuana in CT if you have PTSD, cancer, terminal illness/end of life care, HIV, AIDS, inflammatory bowel disease, glaucoma, Parkinson’s, Multiple Sclerosis, ALS, cerebral palsy, cystic fibrosis, epilepsy, seizure disorder, post laminectomy syndrome, radiculopathy, and spinal stenosis, to name a few.
Holistic Healing remains the premiere practice for medical marijuana evaluations in the state! We lead the industry in years in practice and have kept our costs modest despite the increase in number of providers now performing marijuana evaluations. Dr Jaquez continues to educate his patients, caregivers and physicians on the potential benefits and risks of using cannabis. These relationships are what sets Dr. Jaquez apart from the rest.
We proudly offer compassionate discounts for patients on disability, our community veterans, senior citizens and those on hospice care.
As a medical marijuana patient going through my first renewal, I must impress that Dr. Corey Jaquez is the finest medical marijuana doctor in Connecticut! I suffered terribly from PTSD, as well as, chronic back pain. I first heard about medical cannabis program from a friend and I was resistant to the idea initially. I searched endlessly for a doctor who evaluates and certifies cannabis patients who also had excellent reviews. And low and behold, Dr Jaquez was it! His comprehensive evaluation, included plenty of time for all my questions and hang-ups about avoiding opioid dependence. He was thorough in describing the entire registration process and qualifying conditions for the medical cannabis program in CT- because it varies state to state! Luckily, I qualified for medical marijuana because of two qualifying diagnoses...PTSD and damage to nervous tissue from a failed back surgery. I was approved for the MMP on the spot. He then gave me paperwork to register online and an estimated 3-4 weeks to obtain my CT medical marijuana card. This doc has a great relationship with local dispensaries too! Mine even helped me with the online registration process. Net net, a fine physician, compassionate person, and in my humble opinion, the best medical marijuana doctor in the state
