Med/Rec Dispensary in Ely Nevada.
For Roughly Three Years, the Ely Shoshone Tribe has worked with the Group Tribal Cannabis Consulting on a marijuana program for the Tribe. The group has helped the tribe pass its own laws to regulate medical and recreational marijuana on its tribal lands. The Tribe was the first tribe in the nation to issue its own tribal medical cards to its tribal members and received reciprocity from the state meaning that the state recognized the tribes medical cards the same as any out of state patient. The partnership of the tribe and Tribal Cannabis Consulting led to the passing of SB375 which allowed the tribes in the state of Nevada to individually compact with the state on cannabis regulations. This opened the doors for the tribes to be able to buy and sell products from state facilities. The program was named Tsaa Nesunkwa back in 2016 as a head shop and hydroponics shop. The store would also help people looking at getting medical cards by assisting with the application process. The store stayed like this for about a year and a half until it became a medical dispensary then recreationally. The program has been ran with the idea of bettering the community.
