I'm only a year into the vaper, but I'm not new to the concept nor the experience. However, 10 years ago, almost all pens were garbage, and a nic vape likely had more thc. The point is there was no real oversight or comparisons to be made compared to the traditional flower that had more value, per access of battery's strains, and actual thc-tac and cbd% disclaimer. It was just a pen that said, "It's good, trust us," collecting dust on a dimly lit shelf. Now, with more reputable companies and great form factors, it's really hard to decide between pens or flowers, if only for the simplicity. Blue dreams nice. Although no pen has replaced the amount I smoke of flower to get the same high if not better simply because pen highs are still lacking, if there not using thca which is basically fake thc that makes the brain think it's high without any of the actual properties like anxiety relief or depression and sleep. Even vegan pens give a different effect. Plus, fresh terp is the best terp!
