they were the first place I got to visit on the start of my vacation going west to see the ocean and after all was said and done, they were the last place I visited too. no one across the states compared to these awesome people and their products were superb. they will always be my choice when I come back!
Great, pure Colorado grown. You can smell and taste the mountains in their buds, like connoisseur teas.
You just have to try their buds to believe me. Trust me, this place is a treasure trove of first class herb!
It was a sight for sore eyes, the first time I drove into Salida on Hwy 50. Tenderfoot was like a lighthouse. Yes, I'm a 'transplant'....but, have almost gotten over most of the shock and am healing nicely. For so long I have needed to focus on my health, and I am thankful for the respectful and informed staff at Tenderfoot. Infinite Love & Gratitude
The employees are extremely friendly and knowledgeable, easily approachable. This is one of my favorite places in Salida! I love the staff and owner!
By far, THC is the shop to go to in Salida. The staff is always smiling and they answer my questions with enthusiasm. They obviously know their products and have great knowledge when it comes to cannabis. I was happy to see them weigh out each strain instead of having it prepackaged, like other shops in town. They informed me they have their own grow and don't wholesale any of their product.... you can't go wrong when the shop motto is, "keep the greed out of weed." From my experience, they are in the industry to help people and my goodness, do they excel at it!!! Thanks, Tenderfoot. I love shopping with you and your product has made a huge different in my life. Keep it up!
The manager informed me that it was rude of me to ask what the THC content of their strains was. (Yes, the exact word she used was "rude.") She then "mansplained" to me (I started smoking weed in 1977, long before she was born) that THC count alone isn't the sole indicator of quality, thus they don't answer that question anymore, because only someone who doesn't understand how cannabis works would ask it.
I had been shopping at this dispensary almost exclusively since I arrived in Salida. I have never been angry, impatient, or otherwise in a bad mood in their store. I always try to tip, though I am on a fixed income, and apologize if I can't. If I'm the gnarliest customer she ever deals with, she lives a charmed life.
The budtender did say, "We don't choose to sell marijuana that way," i.e., they can't point you to everything that's 20% and up. Sorry I didn't quite catch it when she first said it, because it's idiotic IMHO to not direct customers to the top shelf, or to pretend that middies are just as good because of terpenes.
I don't know if they're having a supply problem so they've decided to tack defensive, or if the manager just woke up with a burr in her ass that day, or what.
Either way, I can't think of a single reason to go back. Neither of their two competitors have any problem answering this question. One of them has a lower per-gram price, as well as the THC content printed on the label.

I've been to alot of dispensaries in Colorado and this is my favorite. There's a beautiful plant by the window when you walk in. Why don't all dispensaries have this? answer: because they're not as cool. Their motto is "weed before greed." Keep us the good work ladies.
Man what a nice store. Great vibe. Friendly staff. smoke actually looks like the FAMOUS Colorado buds in the magazines. Blackberry Banana Kush was spectacular. Along with a fully stocked concentrate self. One of the few I have seen around the state. I look forward to making it back your way, friends.
