One day the staff is great, the next day they act as if they’ve never met you. It’s extremely unsettling. Are they high? And they on something other than life? I don’t know. I’m not a therapist but I’ve played one on TV. Yeah, I’m an actor, member of the Screen Actors Guild. I’ve found that the most consistent nice staff members are the front-end security folks who buzz you in. Always super nice. Too bad the rest of the staff doesn’t follow suit.

Pasadena has been a dry zone dispensary wise. Especially in the central area around Colorado Blvd. I was so excited to see a new shop come to town, and this one is walking distance! It’s a big modern store, feels safe and professional. It’s one of those “nice” shops that’s all open air. Zero sketchiness, feels like an Apple Store. They’re still in “soft open” so the products weren’t all out but it was very easy to see what I wanted. The biggest draw for me is if a shop has a nice variety at different price points. Here I had several options for under $50 and a few above it. I did not feel boxed in by overpriced flower, in fact the pricing was very fair. Taxes are what you’d expect, but you can see a price estimate before you go to the register. Friendly staff, they’re set up to get the whole city of Pasadena lit so pay them a visit!

Finally a nice legit shop in a nice spot of Pasadena. Ordering was easy, super clean place, friendly staff. Definitely a fancier place fits in Pasadena well. Solid trees and they carry Raw Garden and Jetty so I’m set. 👍🏻👍🏻

Essence-tial
Finally a top notch dispensary in Pasadena! Right in the heart of the city this place fits right in. It's open space is welcoming, the registration is fast and easy, the associates in the store aim to please, and the product is off the chart quality at all prices. What more could you ask for? Let me tell you. I was helped by KJ and also the manager Tatianna. You could tell how much they cared about the client and the transaction being perfect. That means a lot to me. I found the (one of the) finest strains available-Lit_House and the price was high but you get what you pay for. One of the best parts about Essence is the compassion they show. They were able to accommodate me with a Senior discount which really makes a difference to me on a fixed income. They DO care and that is important about the place I am going to support with my business. Thanks for the quality flowers and those quality people that carry out the transaction. Your beautiful, well stocked, nice place will see me again

Great dispensary
Loved this dispensary. Pasadena only has two and the other seems to be really overpriced compared to Essence. They have friendly staff and I love the option of adding my items to cart via their interactive kiosks and tablets. Their product selection is pretty insane too. Would recommend to anyone.

Decent Place in Pasadena
I've been here several times. I've only bought their pre-rolls. The prices are pretty standard. The staff are friendly and welcoming. The store is nice, reminds me of the big chain with the red letters and whose name recalls that show about magazine advertising in the 60s. Of the pre-rolls I've tried, the cheapest one I've had so far, Good Flower, has been the best. Essence carries Bloom Brands cartridges, which is cool, they make my favorite cartridge, but Essence doesn't have my favorite strain from Bloom yet. Essence doesn't have a first time patient deal (is that still a thing anywhere?) but they do have a rewards program. It's cool having a dispensary in central Pasadena. I hope they stay.

Above and Beyond!
Giselle and KJ were the budtenders taking care of me today. It’s my first day back to California after months away taking care of my mom who just passed away. Giselle took the time to get to know me while ringing me up and welcomed me back with gusto! When I noticed an error with my order she was quick to fix the situation and KJ stepped in to help! I was almost home when I realized one of the carts I purchased was damaged so I returned to the store (which I hate to do because I am a barista and I know customer service is exhausting) but KJ and Giselle were so sweet and understanding. They even threw in a pre roll on top of my discount! These folks are the best at what they do, and more importantly, create an environment that makes me feel welcomed and want to come back all the time!

They're not cheap, but they're the best so far in Pasadena. Prices are pretax but they're much lower than Varda, who's menu is pretax as well

Best in Pasadena and surrounding area
I’m from LA but have been living in Oregon & Colorado for the last 10 years so my expectations for a dispensary is pretty high ;). I was skeptical because it’s in a nice area, nice building, beautiful space, super friendly greeter/ID check. Price is important to me and these are priced very competitively with lesser stores in sketchy areas. Super friendly staff all around. I don’t mind the ordering process with the touch screen in person. You can ask for advice and there’s no pressure. Would highly recommend. Thanks!😎
