RISE Abingdon is a great dispensary! Yes, prices in ALL of VA are too high right now, but no individual dispensary is going to be able to fix that until the overall industry in VA is better. What is easier to review right now is the quality of the products. I have had mostly good experiences with Rise. Best advice I can give is look at each brand’s reviews and buy by the brand you trust. gLeaf is overpriced and their concentrates can be all over the place in quality. gLeaf carts are okay, but I would recommend Dharma and S&S’s carts for price, flavor, and effect. I do not recommend topicals or edibles as they are overpriced for the strength. Stick with flower or carts. The staff at RISE is friendly and helpful! I found there is more to be desired when it comes to conversations about cannabis, but I can only assume this is because it’s a new industry in VA and they are probably still learning. Either way, this is a nice place to get legal cannabis with friendly and understanding staff.

I'd sooner throw away any of the product I've bought here than smoke it. Most of the flower looks ok, but it all lacks real flavor (aroma, taste, mouthfeel). Some of it smells alright, but it's usually missing the other two characteristics, and as such fails to deliver any satisfactory high.

Too bad it's so over-priced and limited in types. Virginia mmj was sold out to the ppl who already had lots of money and to the detriment of everyone else. Coming from Colorado, I can say definitively that these are rip off prices.
