Burnt Orange came to life in 2013 from the minds at Archive Seed Bank. As Archive tells it, breeders SubCool and Jill ingeniously combined Orange Velvet (sourced from Oregon) back with itself to capture that "uniquely astringent orange cleaner" aroma. Then, the Archive team crossed this special Orange Velvet BX1 with Do-Si-Dos to achieve Burnt Orange. This hybrid strain is said to be excellent for extracts, as it produces super-resinous flowers with a perfect crystal structure that produces incredible hash. While Burnt Orange may be harder to find today, it went on to birth the Tangie strain movement, which means you can experience its essence in Tangies everywhere, including Sour Tangie, Purple Tangie, Tangie Cookies, and more.
