Came in Tues for the first time. Budtenders are horrible. They are too stoned to help you,and sober ones dont help you. Flowers average, but wayyyyy too expensive. I don’t mind sales tax, but you can go to a number of shops in North Hollywood that take care of most of the taxes. here you pay city, excise, and sales, you pay everything. Concentrates really limited. pretty much just pax. experienced the same as negative reviews. Shooda read them instead of coming here. Too many options in LA to settle for a mediocre shop
I don't understand all the bad reviews recently, especially regarding the staff. Yeah, it's expensive due to the taxes, but so is almost every other shop in the area. Recreational was passed and this is what we're left with. It's not Ktown's fault and leaving a bad review based solely on issues with the tax and price increase is misguided at best. I have been coming to this shop since before the renovations and I can say that they have done a good job with increasing it's accessibility for us patients with disabilities. They have great CBD options and prices to meet everyone's needs. Potent, healthy flowers and hash at reasonable prices. (Keep in mind you will be legally required to pay taxes-*29.5Med/34.5Rec*-I even forgot once, so come prepared!) As for the budtenders, they are all really patient, attentive and compassionate. Even the lady who works the front desk once had made the effort to promptly find my contact info and call me back to the shop because I had forgotten my license! Thanks! Only complaint I have is that they still list clones on their menu when this has not been the case the past few times I've showed up. & Also it would be awesome if they kept a steadier supply of their house "Edibles R Us" CBD edibles. Especially the spicy cheetos!
Charging same prices and taxes to medicinal users. Unhelpful staff. Limited selection, obvi partner with Pax. Thats all they pretty much have for concentrate and a bunch of over priced herb. Its probably expensive because they need to pay for the location. No point coming here. Save your money.
Are they medical (18+)? What’s the tax for medical. I see some shady reviews and I’m not about to drive 40 miles to get scammed.
worst fucking place in los angeles. dont lt the inside fool you. EXPENISIVVVE AS HELLLLL. these fools dont even know their shit. Place done changed man. They dont include any taxes too like alot of others do. never going back. STAY AWAY. Yall got too many options round here to settle for the Macys of weed shops. At least know what you are selling. tenders dumb af

I think it’s important for those medicinal users who value the importance of cannibas as medicine to read this review. First off, I spend $500-600 on concentrates on every visit and look to buy the cleanest shit out there. I've been medicating for a number of years to help with anxiety and it has worked miracles and kept me off of prescription meds that are designed to keep you addicted. I want to give my honest review. Prior to becoming a recreational shop, I heard great things about this place. I am pretty picky with where I buy my meds, so after a few weeks, I said fuck it, let's try it out. I’ll start with the positives. The shop itself is aesthetically one of the nicest and cleanly laid out shops I've been to. Clean on the inside, and it's set up more like a store where you can walk around to look at meds and clearly they've invested into the interior of the store. Now, that's about where it ends. Now let's get to the negatives, and unfortunately, there are quite a few and they are significant to those who have been medicinal users for years. I walk in, and the guy in the front getting my recommendation and information in the system doesn’t even engage with me or welcome you there. Whatever, I’m here for the meds. I'm in the lobby pulling out a few hundred, and I def ain't spending $500-600 on my first visit at a new shop with bud tenders I don't know. I meticulously look at menus for the products they carry before I go to any dispensary and went to buy the cleanest concentrate they had. While I'm pulling out my cash, I hear this crazy annoying chick loud as fuck obviously with no regard to customers waiting to walk in. Guess what, she worked there. Good times. Moving on. So I enter the shop, there's three workers that just stared at me when I walked in like I was a cop. I was dressed in business clothes but not suited up, so maybe they weren't used to that. In regards to the staff, they all looked bored and uninterested in having you there. No ‘how can I help you’ or ‘welcome to KTOWN’, just a blank look like I was gonna arrest them or some shit. Not sure if it was because I was dressed for work, whatever, moving on. Another dude comes out of the room, clearly high as shit, although he was a nice kid. Again, that's about where it ends. Everyone knows a knowledgeable bud tender is important in order to get a product that works for what you are looking for. This kid didn't even know the price of the pod that I wanted that’s been listed on their menu and still listed on their menu at $50 and then quoted me a higher price. The good ol’ ‘oh, our menu is wrong’ red flag. Well, I’m not an idiot that just started buying cannibas. I bring up that I've been on the menu both on their site synced to the menu here, and the prices are the same. Note, the menu lists the Nativ Pax Era OG Rosin Pod clearly at $50, and again, I checked the menu being updated the same day, and it's still $50. The bud tender randomly asks whom I assume is the owner or manager, who was also doing nothing but chatting with his workers who also weren't doin shit but standing around and talking, the kid says 'hey aren't these about $60-65?' to his boss. First thought, how the fuck do you not know your menu prices kid? I know Hollywood dispensaries tend to hire the dumbest people, but fuck, you're a fukin budtender. Learn your shit son. The assumed manager says 'yeah, it’s around there but I'll honor the price on the menu’, so I guess that should go in the positive paragraph, but again, that's where it ends. After he tried to make me feel like I got a deal even though his menu clearly shows the fuckin price at $50, and still does, I roll to the front to pay and I have $300 in my pocket, a bit more than the $250 to cover regular sales tax like a number of dispensaries are doing while absorbing the excise and other taxes. I wish I would of paid attention to the previous recent comments. Full disclosure, you absorb every single dime of the taxes and the 'store' pays for nothing. Every dime of the taxes is transferred to be paid by the patient, regardless of if you are a medicinal patient which I am and brought in my recommendation. I walk to the front, they only had 4 of the pods I wanted, and I took them all plus one more by Nativ because I came to get 5 pods, so obviously I ain’t there to buy the cheapest preroll and asking for free edibles. Now the manager is taking a while to calculate the costs. It doesn't take a shitload of math to do 5 x $50, but this time I'd accept they add sales tax based on the new regulations. Clearly thinking the 5 pods I bought would cost in the neighborhood of $275 assuming 9.75% sales tax on top of the subtotal of $250. I was told it would be like some shit like $360. Holy…fukin...shit. Obviously, I was shocked. I asked if the taxes were priced into the shelf price of the pods, and he looks at me like no big deal, and says 'it is'. Spins the iPad and shows me the breakdown, and it isn't. Not only is the excise tax not priced into the price of the Pod, he played dumb like he didn't know what I was talking about. He knew what I'm talking about. I wasn't about to go back to the atm and pull more money out. So I remove one pod because I wasted my time driving out there, and wanted to leave with meds. I ended up paying every penny in taxes, which is at least 30% on top of the retail price. And to top it all off, they give nothing for a spend like that for a first time patient. I didn't come in to buy a fukin joint and a gram of flower. They didn’t even throw in those shitty ass gummy bears I saw behind the counter. All I left with was feeling fucked, and a corny zip lock bag that I threw away once I left the shop. The past two posts are accurate. I should have paid more attention, but you learn just like you do when you go to any shitty business. Final note, KTOWN, don’t forget the medicinal users who’ve kept your shop in business for the over a decade. Recreational marijuana was a concern due to genuine shops turning into profit focused shops, and forgetting their roots why they started to begin with. I don’t know if it was because I came in dressed up in business attire and you thought I had money to waste, or if you just don’t give a fuck anymore and only want to cater to Hollywood trust fund goobers, and suburban hipsters who just want to get fucked up. I am all for those who use it recreationally or medicinally. And I get it, every shop has the right to focus on a business model that helps them grow. I work in advertising and you do what you need to do when it comes to business. I know a shitload of people that are spending like I do, and I’m telling them all to hold off until you get your shit together. Don’t fuck over your medicinal patients KTOWN. Recreational marijuana is ruining Los Angeles, don’t forget where you came from. I’ll go back when you guys get back to why you likely started this shit in the first place. Side note, fire your budtenders. They fukin suck.

I bought a Blue River pod here and they charged $6 more than the Greeneasy that’s down the street. It’s normally $85 for medical patient and I asked him to check it twice with the medical patient discount and he wouldn’t budge from $92. Seems small but this is super lame to me because it’s simple math. Not going back - just go to the Greeneasy down the street. They are waayyy more legit and by the book and won’t argue with you even after they ring you up wrong.
I love my KTown I have to say They brighten my day 🙏
