Hash Plant has been getting its fingers sticky since before rosin had a fan club. Sensi Seeds developed the Hash Plant strain from an Afghan-derived clone preserved in the United States, crossing it with Northern Lights #1 and then backcrossing to the original mother. The finished line carries approximately 75% original Hash Plant and 25% Northern Lights #1 ancestry. Short plants, chunky flower, plenty of resin: the name checks out.

The Hash Plant lineage often gets shortened to “Afghani × Northern Lights,” but that leaves out the backcross that brought the original mother’s genetics back to the foreground. Sensi’s selection kept the compact growth and sticky flower that made her worth preserving in the first place.

Earthy, woody aromas meet a sweet Afghan hash scent, followed by a sharp, spicy bite on the palate. Hash Plant flavor is old-school stash-box territory, with enough warmth and pungency to keep a hash head coming back. The flower forms tight, resin-heavy clusters whose outer coating can turn brittle after drying. Even standing still, this one looks like work for the trim scissors.

Wondering whether Hash Plant is indica or sativa? Sensi puts it at 90% indica, and the squat frame certainly looks the part. Reported Hash Plant THC levels generally fall between 13% and 19%. Its reputation rests on more than a big number on the bag: resin, flavor, and a long-running place in the rotation do plenty of talking.

Menu regulars describe Hash Plant effects as deeply relaxing, sleepy, and hungry, with a happy head buzz and occasional sparks of creativity. There may be a good conversation in there before the yawning starts. Best settle the snack situation while getting up still sounds reasonable.
