Plum Bananas – The Bruised Bunch Hanging from a crooked branch behind the Hermit’s shack, Plum Bananas are a type of fruit that appears considerably past its prime and somehow smells even better because of it. Its origins remain a mystery, but the harvest tells its own story: a blend of overripe banana and dark stone fruit wrapped in syrupy sweetness, earthy notes, and a strange, fermented aroma. The flowers of this fruit arrive plump and heavily frosted, dressed in deep greens and bruised purples beneath a sticky layer of crystalline resin. When you crack them open, the fruit reveals its dark interior: ripe banana, crushed plum, and sugary fruit spill forth, settling into notes of grape skin, damp earth, and a sweetness reminiscent of fermentation, as if the whole bunch has been ripening just a little too long.
