"Food grade" can mean a lot of things, but in our case its second press, meaning the hash bags are pressed for top shelf rosin, afterwards multiple bags are pressed together at higher temp and pressure to create a lower grade rosin. In olive oil, "first cold press" is separated from subsequent presses. In addition to second press, batches that come out too dry, or not terpy enough can get diverted into "food grade" and sold at a lower price
