Initially housed in a historic church building in the heart of Diamond Valley, Alberta from 2020 to 2026, Enlightened Herb Cannabis has become known as Southern Alberta’s most unique cannabis retail store, a true “Destination Location.” In June of 2026 we moved the store into another historic character building in Nanton, Alberta. We can now be found on Main Street across from Nanton’s famous Candy Store!

We specialize in Craft Cannabis and CBD wellness products, and are motivated by a desire to support the well-being of our community. Unlike the larger retailers, we value PEOPLE, QUALITY and INTEGRITY over PROFIT.
Danielle French is the Proprietor of Enlightened Herb Cannabis and she also works in the Alberta film and television industry as an Assistant Set Decorator and Coordinator. Danielle brought her design skills to the Enlightened Herb space, creating a warm welcoming aesthetic and vintage vibe that fits perfectly with Nanton's antique shopping hot-spot reputation. If you are looking for a vintage ashtray, we are in the process of building out the largest collection in Western Canada!

Our mission is to showcase exceptional Craft Cannabis products grown by legacy and micro-cultivators who are in it for the love of the plant. Like a fine wine, Craft Cannabis is grown in small batches, emphasizing quality over quantity. Craft growers often feature exclusive, rare, or unique genetics. They use superior cultivation techniques to ensure optimum growing conditions for their plants, and hand-finish their products to bring forth the best aromas, flavours, and effects and preserve the delicate trichomes of the plant.

Our “Craft over Corporate” philosophy means we thoughtfully curate our menu, painstakingly “weeding out” inferior products to present our discerning customers with only the highest quality Craft Cannabis and CBD wellness products we can find on the market, at fair prices. We feel this approach represents the true meaning of “value”. Most of the products on our shelves are small batch and can't be found at larger retailers who are operating on the lowest price/cheapest quality model since they need to operate on volume, so you are guaranteed to discover something rare and unique on our shelves on each visit.
