I’ve been a loyal customer at this dispensary for quite some time and have supported them regularly—visiting several times a week despite there being many other options in the area. Unfortunately, I recently had a very disappointing and unsettling experience with the owner. During a recent visit, the owner spoke to me in a way that relied on harmful racial stereotypes and tropes. He falsely claimed that I had been “yelling,” which was completely untrue and felt like an attempt to portray me as the “angry Black woman” stereotype. I remained calm and respectful throughout our interaction. After this incident, I was banned from the store without cause. It’s disheartening to be treated this way as a faithful customer who has supported their business consistently. I hope the owner reflects on this behavior and learns to treat all customers with fairness and respect. There are many dispensaries in the area that value their customers and foster inclusive, welcoming environments.
