Unhappy (again) with the selection (or lack thereof) at our local Trulieve in Tallahassee, we loaded up the car with drinks, munchies, gas and a little THC and we made the 330+ mile roundtrip trek to Gainesville from Havana. After braving I-10 and I-75 after dark (several weaving semis, two wrecks, four deer including one who bounded across the highway in front of our car, and more cop cars than a Dunkin Donuts parking lot) we were very pleasantly surprised when we walked into Trulieve. The lobby was cozy and the much-needed restrooms very clean. The staff at the front desk was cheerful and friendly even at the end of the day (we arrived about 15 minutes before closing). After a brief wait we were ushered into the back by Gaby who then assisted us with our purchase. She was very knowledgeable and happy to answer the many questions we had. Her answers and suggestions were super helpful and appreciated. She was totally patient with us especially when you consider the late hour, and she didn't try to rush us so they could close shop and go home. We even purchased an additional item at her (not-at-all pushy) encouragement. All in all we we very pleased with our Gainesville Trulieve experience from start to finish. Even on our way out the tone was friendly from the nice lady with the big scary gun who had to unlock the door because our time there had gone past their 7pm closing time. On the way home we lamented several times at the distance they are from our town because they would decidedly be our first choice in dispensaries were it not for the long and arduous drive. We would definitely recommend Trulieve Gainesville to anyone looking for a dispensary. A special "thanks" to Gaby for having all of the answers without any of the attitude.
