Raton has only one cannabis shop, which is disappointing, but the one they have is outstanding. The weekend they opened, I noticed a lot of trucks in their lot from Texas, but I went in anyway and was pleasantly surprised (just kidding, I have friends and family living in Texas, but anyway). Their prices are reasonable, with many flower strains under $9, and the store itself is cheery and personable, with a good mix of locally grown flower, edibles, and etceteras, including baby clones. They’re still working out the loyalty program but promise it’s on the way, and now that Colfax County has a shop, lots of folks will be saving themselves the trip over the Pass to Trinidad. Stevie says they have CannaCaps on order, which will help those of us who can't stomach the edibles, but they had samples of CBD caps and some nice lollies for those of us who can.
