hybrid
UltraViolet OG
aka Ultraviolet OG Kush, UV, Ultra Violet OG
UltraViolet OG is an 80% indica hybrid from Archive Seed Bank, created by crossing Face Off OG with Purple Indica, an old Pacific Northwest clone that some preservation records suggest may be the same plant known as Seattle Ultra Violet. That connection gives the name some real roots: Archive paired Face Off's OG gas with a purple PNW line already carrying the Ultra Violet identity.
The flower leans hard into both sides of the cross. Earthy OG funk and pine hit first, followed by lemon, sweet herbs, florals, and a grape-like purple-fruit note underneath. Dense buds can turn deep violet late in bloom, especially under cooler conditions, while lavender-tinted trichomes pile across the surface and give the flower its UV-glow look.
Those who keep coming back to UltraViolet OG describe a dreamy, euphoric head change that settles quickly into heavier body relaxation. Tingly, mellow, and sleepy reports dominate the back half, with stronger sessions pulling firmly toward couch-lock and nighttime territory.
UltraViolet OG takes old Pacific Northwest purple and runs it straight through Archive's OG gas tank.
UltraViolet OG is a moderately challenging grow that's better suited to cultivators with some experience, staying fairly compact indoors and topping out around 4.9 feet (1.5 m), which keeps it manageable for growers working with limited vertical space. It finishes flowering in roughly 8–10 weeks, and growers report indoor yields near 200–300 g/m² with outdoor plants pushing up to about 21 oz (600 g) per plant in a strong season. It does best in a controlled, dry setup with steady temperatures and moderate humidity, and outdoors it prefers a temperate, dry climate with cooler nights late in flower. Those cool late-flower nights do double duty here, coaxing out the deep purple color the strain is named for. Keep in mind these are seedbank-reported estimates that shift with phenotype and environment.
