UBC Chemo
aka Chemo
- Apricot (100% of reported flavors)
UBC Chemo is a cultivar of fascinating, somewhat mysterious origins. The strain is a clone-only plant, developed first by Dr. David Suzuki at the University of British Columbia sometime in the 1960s or 1970s. Since, Federation Seeds and BC Bud Depot have created stabilized versions of the original genetics, designed to help cancer patients address the side-effects of chemotherapy. UBC Chemo reportedly boasts a fragrant blend of pine, earth, and forest floor. Its pungent smell is soothed by a woody flavor laced with mild pine.
As a rare cultivar, UBC Chemo may require a more experienced hand to reach its full potential. The plant should flourish in indoor and outdoor settings, and weather cooler temperatures as well as the hotter summer sun. UBC Chemo reaches full maturity in 49 to 56 days indoors, while outdoor gardens produce in mid-October. The strain usually produces large yields in ideal conditions. UBC Chemo is a clone-only strain.
