The Scrooge wears two faces: a gas-heavy indica from Compound Genetics’ Menthol lineage, and a pine-bright hybrid crafted by Mr. Green Jeans Genetics.

Origin 1: Compound Genetics — The Menthol Series

The more widely available version, The Scrooge from Compound Genetics, was developed as part of their The Menthol Series. This indica-dominant cross ofJokerz #31 with The Menthol is 100% gas and 100% loud. The terpene profile pumps out big petrol fumes and a subtle sweetness. Flavor-wise, there is also a strange similarity to Runtz on the exhale. The flower is incredibly dark and moody, coming out so purple that it's nearly black. As for the high, this is a decidedly balanced indica that reviewers say delivers a happy, euphoric mood lift, stress relief, and heavy sedation. This version of The Scrooge is best saved for end-of-day sessions.

Origin 2: Mr. Green Jeans Genetics

The second, lesser-known version of The Scrooge comes from patient-turned breeder Mr. Green Jeans Genetics. It's a mashup of a Glacee Blanche x Grandmaster Runtz crossed with Oscar the Grinch. According to Mr. Green, this was created in 2022 and has a piney, woodsy terpene with a telltale dank skunky layer. There are no reports about the effects yet.
