Super OG, also known as Super OG Kush, is a member of the Kush family originally created by the Spanish breeders at Pyramid Seeds. The team experimented with Kush genetics in an attempt to add more flavor and stronger physical effects, crossing Hindu Kush with OG Kush to produce Super OG. According to the breeder, Super OG is an indica-leaning hybrid that has a sweet and aromatic taste.
Super OG plants thrive either indoors or outdoors, though its wider leaves will need occasional trimming to allow light to reach the lower nodes. Super OG blooms tight, compact flowers with vibrant orange stigma hairs in a seven-to-nine-week flowering cycle. Plants grown outside in the Northern Hemisphere are ready to harvest in early October, while those cultivated in the Southern Hemisphere can be harvested in April. Super OG is resistant to most pests and diseases, but requires an adequate water and nutrient supply to thrive.
Other sources have credited another type of Super OG to mysterious Los Angeles breeders, who reportedly crossed Skywalker OG and Tahoe OG Kush to create an aromatic variety of their own.
