Starfighter is an Alien Genetics original that crosses Lemon Alien Dawg with Tahoe Alien, stacking Alien-family genetics over a deep OG foundation. Tahoe Alien brings Tahoe OG Kush and Alien Kush F1 into the mix, while Lemon Alien Dawg traces through Alien Dawg and Lemon Kush. The original Alien Genetics release has since disappeared from the seed market, but Starfighter became far more influential after other breeders started digging through the genetics.
Sweet lemon and citrus hit against pine, earth, and a sharper chemical funk, with berry and creamy sweetness showing up in some expressions. Alien Genetics famously described the profile as raspberry sorbet with hints of lemon. The flowers run bright to forest green with orange pistils, but Starfighter's calling card is frost. Good expressions pile on enough trichomes to explain why breeders kept reaching for the genetics long after the original release disappeared.
Exotic Genetix was one of the breeders that kept the line moving, creating Starfighter F2 and putting those genetics to work in strains such as Cookies and Cream. That breeding legacy ultimately became bigger than Starfighter's own time on dispensary menus.
Menu regulars describe a relaxed, happy ride with euphoria and an easygoing cerebral lift before the heavier side starts showing through. Starfighter may have vanished from Alien Genetics' original catalog, but its ridiculous resin production made sure the genetics didn't disappear with it.
Based on photos of the original Starfighter phenotype featured on Alien Genetics’ Instagram account, the plant produces moderately dense colas flush with starry trichomes, reddish stigmas, and purple streaks across the dark green fan leaves.
With THC levels said to range between 16% and 24%, one sample of Starfighter analyzed by the cannabis testing lab Analytical 360, had 19% THC and a terpene profile dominated by humulene and caryophyllene.
