Space Queen is an old-school hybrid created by Vic High of Canada's BC Growers Association by crossing Romulan with Cinderella 99. Vic High had his eye on the pairing before the cross existed, seeing Cinderella 99's bright sativa character as a natural counterweight to Romulan's heavier, pine-soaked genetics. The result became one of BCGA's better-known releases and later turned into a major breeding tool for Subcool and the TGA Genetics family.
Space Queen can swing noticeably from plant to plant. Some phenotypes pull hard toward Romulan with pine, earth, and deeper funk, while others let Cinderella 99 take over with pineapple, lemon, tropical fruit, and sweeter candy notes. Vic High's original description specifically called out lemon, pine, and pineapple, with roughly half the plants showing a stronger Romulan-style pine profile.
Longtime fans describe a fast, cerebral experience that can feel euphoric, energetic, creative, and a little spacey before the Romulan side adds some physical calm underneath. Current Weedmaps reports put euphoric, aroused, and happy among the leading effects, while later descriptions of the cultivar frequently emphasize its quick, uplifting headspace.
Space Queen generally flowers in about 50–60 days, with roughly 55 days being typical. Plants can be grown indoors or outdoors and may range from balanced hybrid structure to much more obvious sativa expression. Vic High described yields as above average but not production-monster territory, with plants commonly landing around 100–150 centimeters and requiring a more experienced hand in the garden.
The phenotype spread is part of the deal. Some plants stay tighter and pine-heavy, while others stretch harder and push pineapple, lemon, and tropical fruit to the front.
