Sour Face

aka Sour Face OG, Sour Face Off

Sour Face fixes Sour Diesel's one flaw — that marathon 11-week flower — by pairing it with Face Off OG BX1 and cutting the finish time without losing an ounce of punch. Archive Seed Bank's Fletcher "ThaDocta" Watson crafted this one for growers who want all the fuel, funk, and knockout weight of the classics without the wait.

The recipe runs Sour Diesel x Face Off OG BX1. Sour Diesel brings the East Coast's 1990s jet-fuel snap; Face Off OG BX1, a stabilized cut from Archive's late-'90s SoCal OG line, adds earthy pine and that unmistakable kush funk. The backcross rounds off the edges, giving the flower dense structure and thick resin while keeping the gas profile front and center.

The aroma hits pure Archive vintage: sour, sharp, and chemically bright with kush, pine, and musk underneath. Myrcene, caryophyllene, and limonene drive the terpene stack, blending sweet diesel exhaust with herbal spice and citrus lift.

Reports describe a slow-building high that starts above the shoulders — clear and chatty at first, before the indica depth rolls in and drops anchor. Mood lightens, muscles unwind, and focus dissolves into a steady calm. It's a strain that moves from spark to stillness in its own time, like someone dimming the lights mid-conversation.

Sour Face stays true to its lineage: all gas, no gimmicks, and just enough OG grounding to make the sour hit smoother than it should.
