Shaved Monkey is one strain name that swings from two very different trees.

Origin 1: Exotic Genetix’s Shaved Monkey crosses GG4 with Tina, stacking Glue-family resin and diesel against Tina’s skunky, spicy fuel. This version leans loud and sticky, with gas, pine, earth, spice, and a sweeter creamy edge behind the funk.

Origin 2: Another Shaved Monkey in circulation pairs Samoas with Grease Monkey, creating a more dessert-leaning take on the name. Nutty sweetness, baked-cookie notes, fruit, diesel, and earthy funk tend to show up together, while the Grease Monkey side keeps the finish heavy and greasy instead of sugary-clean.

The nose rarely behaves politely. Diesel, skunk, pine, earth, fruit, spice, and occasional cream all compete for space, and stronger batches can smell more like a garage floor than a fruit bowl.

The consensus among people who’ve spent time with Shaved Monkey leans euphoric, giggly, and relaxed before the body side starts adding weight. Depending on the cut, that can mean a mellow finish or a much heavier slide once the session gets rolling.

Shaved Monkey cleaned up the name and left the funk completely untouched.

Shaved Monkey's grow profile depends on which tree you're swinging from. Exotic Genetix's GG4 × Tina version can be cultivated indoors or outdoors and generally finishes in about 60 days of flowering. Beyond that, reliable breeder-level numbers for height, yield, and training aren't published consistently enough to treat as fixed specs. The Samoas × Grease Monkey version is genetically separate, so its structure and timing shouldn't inherit the Exotic Genetix numbers by default.
