The different genetics and classification make it a separate same-name strain, not another expression of the HashHeads cultivar.
Red 40 is a moderate-difficulty indica that flowers in roughly nine weeks indoors, about 62 days per the breeder, HashHeads Genes. It finishes as a compact, stout plant that stretches vigorously in early flower before settling into dense, resin-heavy buds. This strain favors a warm flowering environment with lower humidity, while cooler nighttime temperatures help coax out its red and purple coloring. Bred as a hash and wash-yield selection rather than a heavy flower producer, it was never released as feminized seed, so growers typically start from cuts.
