Purple Goat was created by the team at Cannabeizein in Oregon sometime in the early 2010s. The strain is a combination of a Trainwreck female and a Blueberry Skunk father.
The top reported aromas of the Purple Goat cultivar are fruity, herbs, and spiced grass. It is said to taste like herbs, spiced fruit, and oranges.
Purple Goat is a sativa-leaning hybrid with relatively sturdy branches and thick stalks. The easy-going strain is an excellent choice for beginning cultivators, thanks to its resistance to cold temperatures and pests. Purple Goat prefers Mediterranean-like climates with plenty of sunshine. The plants may require regular pruning in indoor settings, benefiting from techniques like ScrOG or regular topping to boost yields and manage its height. Purple Goat reaches full maturity in seven to nine weeks indoors and by mid-October outside.
