Its exact genetics remain unsettled: some listings claim Foreign Kush Mints × Sugarcane Kush, while another identifies Bubba Kush × Animal Mints. Grassroots' own product copy does not publicly settle the lineage, so neither cross should be treated as canonical. This version carries a cool mint and sweet vanilla profile layered over pine, earth, dough, and light pepper, with consumers commonly reporting a calm mental onset followed by deep physical relaxation.

Same pillow, different stuffing. The Bonafide version is an older Woody Kush × Cheese Gas hybrid, while the current Grassroots strain is a separate proprietary indica with disputed parentage. Check the producer before assuming the name tells you what's inside.

Reviewers describe both versions as deeply relaxing, but they do not follow the same path. Bonafide’s older cultivar reportedly begins with a warm, sedating body buzz before becoming spacey and disorienting, while the Grassroots version is more often described as a gradual slide from a calm headspace into heavy physical relaxation and sleepiness. The cool mint and vanilla character belongs specifically to Grassroots’ version, so neither its flavor nor its substantially higher potency should be applied to Bonafide’s unrelated Woody Kush × Cheese Gas cross.
