The story is that Mango OG was created in Colorado by a pair of brothers dealing with the devastating side effects of chemotherapy. Reports online say it’s a cross of Mango Haze and SFV OG to create a cultivar that lands on the medicinal end of the spectrum, with relatively mild THC levels.

Elsewhere online, Mango OG is said to be a 65% indica and 35% sativa strain that grows best indoors using the Screen of Green (ScrOG) method to produce flowers in seven to nine weeks with a moderate yield. Because it’s so rare, growers might have difficulty finding further information regarding its cultivation. With a sweet, fruity taste and earthy, fuel-like aroma, Mango OG’s medicinal properties are said to be good for a variety of effects, especially in relieving pain.
