Mango is an old-school Dutch cultivar from KC Brains, built from the breeder's KC 33 genetics and an Afghani selection. KC 33 itself traces back to Thai and Brazilian genetics, giving Mango a family tree that stretches from Southeast Asia and South America to Afghanistan. The result leans heavily toward the Afghani side in structure, growing compact and bushy indoors with broad, dark-green leaves and oversized colas.
The name isn't exactly subtle. Mango brings sweet tropical fruit into a decidedly old-school mix of Skunk, hash, earth, and wood, with ripe mango sweetness cutting through the heavier funk. Flowers can grow massive under the right conditions, packing dense clusters onto a relatively compact frame indoors. KC Brains also credits the Afghani side of the family with helping the plants handle mold and fungal pressure.
Budtenders hear it described as a relaxed, happy ride that starts pleasantly upbeat before settling into a heavier, easygoing finish. Mango comes from a different cannabis era than today's candy-heavy fruit strains, and that's part of the appeal: tropical sweetness on top, old-school hash and Skunk underneath.
KC Brains lists Mango at roughly 6–9 weeks of flowering indoors and 7–10 weeks outdoors. Indoor plants stay around 90 centimeters in the breeder's current specifications, with yields up to roughly 150 grams per plant. Outdoors, Mango can stretch to 2.2–3 meters and produce up to 800 grams per plant under favorable conditions, with harvest falling between late September and mid-October.
