Not to be confused with Mai Tai Cookies, the strain Mai Tai has a few questions surrounding its origins. On the one hand, we have the tale that seems to be most commonly told: Mai Tai is a cross of Maui Waui and Tutti Frutti. However, one of the prominent California cultivators, Jungle Boys, claims that they use a cross of Purple Punch and Sunset Sherbert to produce their version of Mai Tai. Despite these differences, the fruity aroma of this strain is reminiscent of the cocktail from which it draws its name. This strain can be extremely potent with THC results getting as high as 30% THC for certain grows.

Mai Tai is best grown indoors with a flowering time of about 9 weeks. The differences in lineage/phenotypes have lead to a lack of concrete information because of the minute differences between the lineages when growing.
