Funnel Cake

Reportedly previously known as Gas Powered Cake, the Funnelcake strain is a potent but balanced strain bred by Chicago-based Verano from a cross of Gas Powered Sherbet and Wedding Cake — hence its original name. Though the exact reasons for the rename are hard to track down, the new one nods to its buttery and sweet pastry-tinged flavor profile, accented by subtle notes of fruit and funk.

Funnelcake can be easily distinguished from other hybrid varieties thanks to its dense, oversized buds, crusted with trichomes and spotted by dark streaks of purple foliage. It also has its own unique suite of effects, which most reviews describe as balanced, bringing on an upbeat head high and waves of relaxation that only rarely become sleepy or sedate.
