hybrid

F1 is the abbreviation attached to stable first-generation hybrid strains, but it's also the name of a mysterious cultivar with a storied role in the Cookies Fam crew's rise to fame. Cookies breeder Jigga has said that the crew's F1 Durb — purportedly used in the original breeding that yielded their legendary Girl Scout Cookies variety — was a cross between Durban Poison and this “secret sauce.” F1 was apparently known for its “pissy funk.” Its own genetic lineage has never been disclosed, nor was it ever marketed in its own right. Instead, it lives on in legends and lore. F1 is testament that, like many things in life, sometimes the idea or memory of a strain can be more potent than its effect.
