Chiquita Banana, also referred to as C. Banana, bred by Utopia Farms in Santa Cruz, California, is a reported cross of OG Kush and Utopia’s own Banana strain. Utopia Farms originally called the strain Banana OG, but after poor sales, renamed it Chiquita Banana and soon after established itself as one of the most potent strains in California. C. Banana is a highly potent strain that has tested as high as 35% THC, according to Utopia Farms.
Test results from SC Labs have shown that C. Banana contains a terpene profile that includes, myrcene, and caryophyllene, giving off a peppery and tropical aroma.
The strain won third place in the Hybrid category at the 2015 High Times Cannabis Cup.
This hybrid strain is reported to grow tall and produce large, moderately dense, golden trichome-frosted buds with red stigma hairs in a 63-day flowering period. It’s responsive to both indoor and outdoor grows, as well as a hot, humid climate.
