Belladonna has three breeders answering to the same name, and each brought a different date. Paradise Seeds’ original leans into fruity, heady Dutch genetics; Pacha’s Select takes a floral turn through some unapologetic funk; and The Bakery Genetics brings a purple-family pairing with plenty for phenotype hunters to sort through.
Origin 1: Paradise Seeds. Introduced in the late 1990s, Paradise Seeds’ Belladonna pairs Super Skunk with an unnamed sativa-leaning F1 hybrid. It became a fixture in the breeder’s lineup by combining a lively cerebral experience with a relatively quick finish. Tight buds, restrained foliage, and generous trichomes give this old-school release a practical streak beneath its glamorous name.
Origin 2: Pacha’s Select. Pacha’s Select crossed Cannarado’s Spooky Sunset with its own Lilac Poison male. The selected mother brought sherbet flavor, sturdy structure, and Ghost OG influence, while the father supplied the floral direction Pacha’s was chasing. Their offspring develops dense flower spears, with especially vigorous, upright phenotypes standing out in the breeder’s selections.
Origin 3: The Bakery Genetics. The Bakery Genetics paired Kre8 Genetics’ Kumquat with a male selected from Ken Estes’ regular Granddaddy Purple seed line, called the GDP Velvet Cut. That paternal detail matters: this cross uses a seed-line male rather than the familiar female clone. The resulting indica-dominant family offers colorful selections, with the breeder observing pronounced color changes in roughly half its plants.
Paradise’s version keeps the flavor fruity and sweet with enough pungency to preserve its Skunk manners. Pacha’s takes the perfume somewhere considerably less polite: floral lychee, solvent-like sharpness, earthy rye, and fuel. It’s a bouquet with a shop rag tucked into the wrapping. The Bakery’s version makes its strongest visual statement through the colors that emerge during flowering.
OGs who’ve been burning the Paradise original since day one describe an energetic, euphoric head change with a distinctly trippy edge. It’s the cerebral member of this trio, with sensory intensity central to its reputation. Pacha’s delivers its own potent hybrid experience beneath that floral-funky aroma; the shared name doesn’t make the three releases interchangeable.
Paradise Seeds: Expect approximately 60–63 days of indoor flowering and a mid-October outdoor finish in the Northern Hemisphere. Its relatively sparse foliage and compact buds suit Sea of Green cultivation. The breeder emphasizes mold resistance and manageable growth, with potential yields around 450 grams per square meter indoors and 800 grams per outdoor plant.
Pacha’s Select: This regular-seed release flowers in approximately 56–63 days and can grow indoors, outdoors, or in a greenhouse. Leave vertical room for vigorous selections with longer internodes. Dense flower spears and strong production make support and good airflow worthwhile, even with the structural improvement contributed by Spooky Sunset.
The Bakery Genetics: Allow approximately 63–70 days of flowering for this regular-seed line. It accommodates indoor, outdoor, and greenhouse cultivation. Select for individual structure and flower quality alongside color, and follow trichome development rather than treating a dramatic fade as the harvest signal.
