A summary of the changes is below, and you should carefully review all terms that may apply to you. By continuing to use our Services and Products as of the effective date, you agree to be bound by the updated terms, and no further action is required of you. However, if you do not accept the changes, you must discontinue your use of the Weedmaps Products and Services and, if applicable, deactivate your account.

Summary of Upcoming Changes

The Weedmaps Terms of Use, the Weedmaps Commercial Terms of Use, and additional terms, policies, and agreements incorporated by reference into these terms, are being amended for clarity and readability, and to make it easier to understand which terms apply to you based on the type of Weedmaps user you are. Click the links below to review each set of updated terms in its entirety.

  • The Weedmaps Terms of Use, which have historically applied to all types of Weedmaps users, will now become the Consumer Terms of Use, and will govern access and use if you are a website visitor or consumer using the Weedmaps websites or mobile applications. The language used in these terms has been updated to be easier to read and understand, but the substantive meaning of these terms is not changing for consumers, except that provisions that relate to business users of Weedmaps have been moved into the Commercial Terms of Use.

  • The Commercial Terms of Use will continue to govern use of the Weedmaps Products and Services if you are a business or are acting on behalf of a business. Terms that apply to businesses that were formerly contained in the Weedmaps Terms of Use are now contained in the Commercial Terms of Use. The substantive meaning of these terms is not changing, but some language and the organization of the content have been updated.

  • The Acceptable Use Policy is a new set of terms incorporated into both the Consumer and Commercial Terms of Use. The Acceptable Use Policy outlines activities that are prohibited when accessing or using Weedmaps’ Products and Services. These requirements already existed in our terms, but are now collected together into one part of your overall agreement with Weedmaps.

  • The Electronic Communications Policy is a new set of terms incorporated into both the Consumer and Commercial Terms of Use. The Electronic Communications Policy explains how we will communicate with you and what you need to do in order to receive communications from us. The ways that we communicate with you are not changing, but this policy clarifies what you need in order to receive communications from us, and how to opt out if you do not consent to electronic communications.

  • The Supplemental Product Terms governs use of certain Weedmaps Products and Services if you are a business or acting on behalf of a business, and are incorporated into the Commercial Terms of Use. These terms were previously covered in separate supplemental terms published for each type of product or service that Weedmaps offered, but are now collected into one set of terms. In addition, these terms have been simplified by eliminating content that was repetitive or unnecessary. The substantive meaning of the terms and your permitted use of the Weedmaps Products and Services is not changing.

  • The Supplemental Ads Terms governs use of Ads-related Weedmaps Products and Services if you are a business or acting on behalf of a business, and are incorporated into the Commercial Terms of Use. These terms were previously covered in our Ads Insertion Order Form and Premium Placement Self-Serve Terms, but are now collected into one set of terms. In addition, these terms have been simplified by eliminating content that was repetitive or unnecessary. The substantive meaning of the terms and how Ads are placed and distributed through the Weedmaps Products and Services is not changing.
