Our doctors are passionate and knowledgeable about the benefits of medical marijuana and have helped thousands of patients become fully legal in accordance with California state law.
We founded RiseUpMD.com Westminster in 2016 with the belief that medical cannabis has the potential to provide relief to millions of people in California, yet the current cannabis industry has not given people a safe or reliable way to do so. Medical marijuana doctor’s offices and cannabis clinics are often located in unsafe neighborhoods, have long wait times, and some even fail to follow California medical cannabis laws, putting their patients at risk.
The doctors and staff at RiseUpMD.com Westminster are unified by a single goal of improving the cannabis industry by providing patients with safe, convenient, and fully legal way to talk a doctor about getting a medical marijuana recommendation in California from their phone, computer, or tablet.
Our platform is HIPAA-compliant and ensures that your personal information is never shared with anyone but the doctor who evaluated you. Patients are only billed if approved by our doctor, so it’s 100% risk-free.
Once approved, your recommendation will be available for immediate use (by printing it out) and a physical recommendation and card is mailed the same day.

I was scared of attempting to get a medical recommendation because I didn't want to have to go wait in an office and been "seen" by other people. I wanted a private and compassionate service which would allow me to get a recommendation without having to find a sitter for my child. I have a history of migraines, nothing has worked in the past. I am not an every day user, nor do I intend to be. I just need an emergency back-up in case of a bad migraine. The doctor was great and suggested some items that would be best for me.
Amidst my busy life, it is refreshing to know there is RiseUpMD that allows you to get help from your computer screen. I enjoyed that I didn't have to walk into a doctors office to get my med card. He was very helpful and provided me with usages and quantities I should take, along with the times I should take them. Would highly recommend.
Really enjoyed the doctors appointment online. Technology is crazy these days. It's hard to get around in LA so I loved how easy it was to make an appointment through the phone. The doctor was extremely helpful with my symptoms and explaining everything. Thank you
My consultation was quick and easy; honestly I was afraid that my need for medicinal marijuana would be endlessly questioned, but I was treated with the utmost respect and dignity. I sincerely appreciate all the RiseUpMD and staff!
Was impressed with the professionalism and helpful nature of the Dr. Ross. He was informative and caring with a lot of advice that she quickly covered verbally -given that there were several topics to cover at once- but then sent a very detailed set of note with specific instructions. Would highly recommend the service and Dr. Ross to others.
I was able to renew my cannabis recommendation without having to drive anywhere. The Dr. was polite and I felt completely at ease.
This was way easier than going to an in person appt. I received my card the same day I applied. I highly recommend.
Set up an account quickly. They connected to my smartphone via video call and tested to be sure audio/video was working properly. Dr. Ross came on the line after waiting a minute or so and asked some additional questions, verifying my information and even knew about my specific condition, giving not only a rec but also some information I was previously unaware of. Thank you.
Dr. Ross was very empathetic to my situation. What I left off my paperwork was the loss of my sister a year ago - I didn't realize as a caregiver the grieving is more intense and it's rolling over into my daily life. Work stress is more intense - increased by a long grieving process. Looking forward to restful sleep and ease of my mind.
The doctor was very knowledgeable and answered all my questions I had. Definitely recommending!
