The experience I had with Patient Focus is something I have since recommended to ANYONE that mentions looking into Medical Cannabis. I envisioned having to hand deliver a stack of paperwork, interacting with people understandably in "chaos" mode due to the newness of the Medical Marijuana program in Ohio, and for the process to take months. I was happily surprised with a completely different experience. You make an appointment online- viewing a calendar of days and times available. In my case, I knew I wanted something over 30 days out, but before booking my appointment, I did see that there were several appointments available within the same week. You receive a detailed email with the next steps- very thorough run down of what I needed to do and what to expect. The payment terms are clearly explained. There was a detailed pre-visit questionnaire that I found to be the best part of my experience. Personally, I can't collect my thoughts when I visit the doctor- so it was great to be able to write down ahead of time what I was experiencing. The questionnaire is more than just the usual new client checklist. The online course that they gave me access to was quite in-depth, and I feel confident that after viewing it, many people that continue to shun medical cannabis as a joke might change their mind and want to try it. All of these things led to an efficient visit with the doctor. The doctor had reviewed my records, the questionnaire, and made good use of our time, but wasn't too rushed. I felt like I was heard, and that my concerns were taken seriously. Once the doctor agreed that Medical Marijuana may help me, it was approximately 48 hours from leaving the office that I was able to download and print my card. Sadly, I haven't gotten to use it (in Ohio) because there aren't any dispensaries open yet nearby- but I can be as patient as we all have been in waiting for Ohio to finally get with the plan and legalize marijuana for medical use.
