Life Medical is an integrated practice clinic based in the St. Louis Park, Minnesota committed to offering a wider range of treatment and working together to build strong relationships with their patients. The team at Life Medical is committed to providing the highest quality care with a variety of different modalities, ensuring that each patient has access to the best customized treatment possible.
Dr. Jacob Mirman received his Doctorate from the University of Minnesota Medical School, specializing in primary care and internal medicine and practicing medicine since 1987. In 2006, he was asked to testify on behalf of the Marijuana Policy Project to legalize medical cannabis. The law was not passed then, and he testified again the second time the bill was on Minnesota’s ballot in 2012. This second time around medical marijuana was legalized, and Dr. Mirman began to include cannabis evaluations in his integrated practice. He firmly believes in medical cannabis’ cause, not comprehending why physicians use pharmaceutical drugs for pain and other conditions that are far more injurious in their side effects than cannabis, yet cannabis is the drug that is illegal. In 2007 he and his partner Dr. Frid opened Life Medical to combine several treatment modalities into one practice and have treated thousands of individual patients since they began their operation.
Life Medical stands proud as one of the only clinics of its kind in Minnesota State. They are a primary care clinic with an all-inclusive philosophy, using conventional to alternative treatments to help all sorts of patients. Sometimes conventional prescription drugs are the best treatment for an individual, and other times prescribing painkillers to mask pain is a more harmful method as opposed to acupuncture or physical therapies that would truly treat the cause. With a large team of highly qualified physicians in fields ranging from homeopathy to chiropractic to neurosurgery, they all have an extensive understanding of how each other doctor operates. This adept network of communication allows Life Medical to sift through dozens of options and offers treatments most likely to work for its patients.
Life Medical accepts many kinds of insurance for its treatments, with the exception of medical marijuana evaluations and some alternative modalities, which require some out of pocket payment. They are always available to answer follow-up questions regarding treatment by phone, email or visitation. Initial consultations by phone or email are also available at no charge to find out what kind of treatment may be needed before a visit. Appointments are scheduled in advance, with same-day appointments often available.
