The Cannabis Clinics of Ontario (CCO) consist of a group of doctors experienced in general and family medicine.
Our physicians include trained chronic pain specialists with expertise in patient care.
We have been operating in clinical practice in the Toronto area for 40 years.
We assess patient’s needs and suitability for Medical Cannabis treatment.
Do I need a referral from a doctor?
Answer: You can self-refer yourself, a doctor can also refer you to our clinic.
Is there a fee to visit the doctor at the clinic?
Answer: No, the visit to the doctor is covered by OHIP.
Does OHIP cover the cost of Medical Cannabis?
Answer: You pay the LP’s directly. Medical Cannabis can be claimed as a medical expense on your tax return. Some private insurance companies cover the cost of the Medical Cannabis as part of their plan coverage. Veterans can access medical cannabis products through Veterans Affairs and is process by direct billing with blue cross and the LP’s.
Is there compassionate pricing for Seniors and low-income patients for Medical Cannabis?
Answer: Financial relief and discounts are giving by most LP’s to patient that qualify and send in the appropriate documentation.
After the doctor’s consult, how long after can I place an order with the LP?
Answer: After registering with the LP’s it normally would take 24HR to then place an order.
Is coming to the clinic the only way to see the doctor?
Answer: CCO can also set-up Skype consults for patients with low mobility.
